OverScan Operation

OSO is a technique for reading data packets independent of
track shape or the speed at which tracks were recorded. The area scanned by all
four heads is greater than the recorded area of the tape, ensuring that each packet
is read at least once. Ultimately, this means virtually guaranteed data retrieval
and interchange.
