2 LTO
Linear Tape Open (LTO) is a technological format adopted by a number of companies including Tandberg Data, IBM, HP and others. 2 LTO is the second generation of this format.
Tandberg Data and others have agreed to this convention to provide customers with the versatility to switch between vendors while retaining the same data format and storage tapes. This means a 2 LTO tape from Tandberg Data is compatible with second generation LTO equipment offered by HP, IBM, Certance and others.
