3 Capacity 3.1  Introduction This section shows the capacity improvements of the IBM Ultrium 2 tape drive with Ultrium 2 media when compared to IBM Ultrium 1 with Ultrium 1 media. The tests are executed using a benchmarking tool that writes fixed blocks from memory.  The compression engine of the tape drive is turned off prior to running the tests.   3.2 Capacity Summary The following summarizes the capacity results with the IBM Ultrium 2 relative to the IBM Ultrium 1.  Refer to Section 3.4 for detailed results. The IBM Ultrium 2 demonstrates the following capacity improvements when compared to the IBM Ultrium 1. y Native data capacity doubles to 200 GB 3.3 Test Environment The description of the test environment is as follows.
