Figure 5.2 shows the sustained transfer rate improvement in GB/hour of the IBM Ultrium 2 when compared with the IBM Ultrium 1.  The chart shows that the IBM Ultrium 2 can sustain a higher transfer rate for both Ultrium 2 (Gen2) and Ultrium 1 (Gen1) media.
