Abstract
IBM has introduced its second-generation LTO® Ultrium tape drive, the IBM TotalStorage
Ultrium 2 Tape Drive, offering increased performance and capacity. This evaluation
demonstrates that hardware enhancements in the IBM Ultrium 2 tape drive improve performance
over the first-generation IBM Ultrium 1 drive.
