1  Introduction This paper is an addendum to the paper written by James Thompson titled “IBM TotalStorage Ultrium 2 Tape Drive Performance Evaluation and Analysis.”  The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the data rate performance of the Ultrium 2 tape drive when connected to a host through a 1 Gigabit Fibre Channel Adapter and a 2 Gigabit Fibre Channel Adapter.
