Whether it's about saving a buck or saving the planet, the fact of the matter is it's only a short time before storage becomes the top consumer of power in your data center. Top industry analysts note half of the world's data centers will be strapped for enough power and cooling to operate their storage equipment by the end of this year.
What are your plans?
We welcome you to share your ideas and ask questions with your peers in the IT community. Although the majority of you don't have goals for reducing energy consumption, most of you have said it is a concern. Let's get talking about how we can help each other!
As an incentive to get you going, we're giving away an LTO-4 tape drive.
By the way, did you know that Tandberg Data offers the LTO drives with the lowest power consumption in the industry? 36% lower than Quantum and 40% lower than HP!1

We just bought a Tandberg Data LTO tape drive and I was surprised to see that it uses less power than the other brands. Energy costs are definitely becoming a big deal for us now and every little bit helps.
Thanks. |
