We would like to share with you our enthusiasm about the recent announcement regarding the purchase of Exabyte by Tandberg Data. This heralds the arrival of an exciting time for our customers, our business partners, and our new company.

This transaction joins two complementary companies with a common vision and synergistic market positions. The result will be a much stronger, profitable company with a robust product portfolio and even greater global reach. Our agreement to combine companies positions us as one of the dominant players in the tape storage marketplace, which will allow us to be an even more valuable partner to you.

Our commitment is to communicate directly with you, in advance, as any changes are implemented. Our goal is to ensure the transition causes no disruption in sales and support services from our combined organization. To this end, we�d like to share key elements of our go-forward strategy:

• There will be no immediate changes to business operations. Personnel and facilities will remain in their current locations for both organizations. Please continue to interact with the account managers with whom you normally conduct business. Over time, we will fully integrate our organizations in a manner that will best serve our customers and partners.
• We will continue to sell and support all of our products, including the VXA Packet Tape Drives and PacketLoaders, and our Magnum (LTO) tape automation products. All warrantees and service contracts remain unchanged and in full effect. The continued development and support of these products are an integral part of the long-term product roadmap for our new company.
• Our business model remains the same � we are committed to being a channel-centric company. As such, all of our current partner programs and the associated benefits remain in place.
• During the next few months, the combined management team will follow a detailed process to implement the smooth integration of our two operations. As part of our adherence to established best practices, we have formed cross-functional teams to ensure an efficient integration process and to maintain the high-quality service level you expect.
