Education/Experience Required:
This position requires the equivalent of an associates degree in a technical discipline along with experience in a customer support role. The successful candidate must have excellent communication and telephone skills. A good knowledge of computer systems and backup applications is necessary. SCSI protocol and tape drive knowledge are a plus.
Essential Functions:
Tandberg Data is searching for a Technical Support Engineer. This position will provide technical support to current and prospective customers and to the organization as a whole. He or she will assist Account Management, Inside Sales and Corporate Account representatives in answering technical questions. This position will investigate, diagnose, collect and assimilate customer call data for Engineering to resolve problems and issues with company products. The position will represent Tech Support in the development process to insure that all documentation, information and support features are available on future products.
